MORE MAIL-IN VOTING PROBLEMS- NEW JERSEY

Cristina matei
The latest state to have issues with its mail-in ballots is New Jersey, where nearly 7,000 incorrect ballots have been sent to voters. And now, a U-S postal service worker is under arrest after throwing away hundreds of mail items, including nearly 100 election ballots. Seven thousand residents in the township of Teaneck, New Jersey have received mail-in ballots with the wrong Congressional Representatives’ names printed on them. The mistake affected one quarter of all ballots for Teaneck, elections officials said. Bergen County Clerk John Hogan says this is an isolated issue. And that new ballots will be sent out. Voters that have already filled out and sent away the incorrect ballot will have to vote again on a corrected ballot. Hogan says only the corrected ballot will be counted.
