Hubei Resident Test Positive for CCP Virus in Shantou

The Male patient is 44 years old, born in Xiaogan, Hubei Providence. Most of the time he lives in the Chaonan District of Shantou City. He owns a hotpot restaurant in Xianshang Street, Chaonan District. Before returning to Chaoshan, he was granted “health QR code”. He felt fine. The patient left Xiaogan, Hubei on April 1. He took the train and arrived at Chaoyang station, Shantou, on April 2. On April 6, the community performed initial diagnostic testing by collecting throat swab specimens. On April 7, he tested positive. Early on April 8, he was hospitalized at No.1 Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University. That night, the nucleic acids in his respiratory specimens showed as positive. He was further checked by a group of medical experts and declared a symptom-free CCP virus patient. Based on pandemic tracking, he had been in close contact with 4 people. 3 of them were quarantined. One is still being tracked down.
