Shen Yun is Magical

2020-03-16 20:37
Shen Yun has been performing in Sydney, Australia for more than 10 days and it will continue till March 22. "It was just magical. That's all I can say," said Katrina Read, who is a fine artist, creative director, and founder of a curated lifestyle brand—Arty Heart, in Australia. She saw Shen Yun in Sydney on March 4, and was captivated by their colors and costumes. "The costumes, obviously the vibrancy, the color, the energy of the dances and the way they flowed with those sleeves, I mean it was just gorgeous." Read said that the performance emits peaceful energy. "It gives you a feeling of calm, it gives you a feeling of peace, but there's an innate beauty in the movement of their bodies as well that conveys the story so beautifully." "What really captured me was the movement and the energy and the flow of the dances," Read continues, "obviously moving through time with the traditional costumes right through to modern times. The unison of the dances and just the energy that the lifeforce that they portrayed on stage was just amazing." "And I think seeing it more than once would be beneficial for everybody." Maxine Kohler is the principal of a performing arts college in Australia. She saw Shen Yun in Sydney and was astonished by every aspect of the performance. "The dancers performed with every part of their body, from their eyes right through to their fingertips, and the precision," said Kohler. "I'm just in awe of the performers’ precision and their athletism and the way they work together as a team. So it’s obviously a great compliment to those who trained them." "I think the music, the classical instruments, along with the traditional Chinese instruments really adds to the performance," Kohler added. Kohler praises Shen Yun’s mission to revive the genuine Chinese Culture. "The Chinese people obviously feel that from their soul. And that comes through in their performance," she said. "I think it's it's essential that this sort of culture continues. Because the world we live in today, it will be very easy to lose it and little children should be learning it right from the earliest of days. And so I really applaud Shen Yun for actually doing that. I think it's a wonderful mandate that they've got to keep that Chinese culture alive." NTD News, Sydney, Australia
