Neighborhoods Near Wuhan Steel Company Hit Hard by Coronavirus

Location：Qingshan District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province In Qingshan district of Wuhan, where the state-owned firm Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO) is located, the number of coronavirus infections over the past two weeks has increased drastically. A local resident says it's because WISCO has been operating continually—even after Wuhan authorities initiated lockdown measures to confine people to their homes in an effort to contain the virus’s spread. When Chinese authorities face the dilemma of either stabilizing the economy or combating the COVID-19, they seem to place GDP at a higher priority than saving human lives.
