Everest Base Camp via Rolwaling Valley / Island Peak / Ama Dablam

A video from 2017 when we trekked from the enchanted Buddhist valley of Rolwaling, over the Tashi Lapcha pass, to the Khumbu and EBC, via the beautiful town of Gokyo and the Renjo and Cho La. Following this, we climbed Imja Tse (Island Peak) in alpine style as acclimatization for an alpine style attempt on Ama Dablam. Unfortunately, my climbing partner threw his back out in Ama Base Camp and I had to do a rope solo of Ama Dablam, but still got the summit and its amazing views!
