Pav Bhaji is an Indian fast food recipe consisting of a thick vegetable curry called (bhaji) served with a soft bread roll called (pav). Pav Bhaji can be easily made vegan by using oil or Vegan butter in the recipe.
Pav Bhaji is an incredible Vegan lunch or snacks recipe with authentic Indian flavors, and a fan favorite street food .
Vegetables in the curry or bhaji may commonly include potatoes, onions, carrots, chillies, peas, bell peppers and tomatoes. You can prepare this Vegan Pav Bhaji at home with vegetables you have at hand. Street sellers usually cook the bhaji or curry on a flat griddle and serve the dish hot. A soft white bread roll ( pav) is the usual accompaniment to the curry(bhaji), but this does not preclude the use of other bread varieties such as chapati, roti or brown bread.
The dish Pav bhaji originated as a fast lunchtime dish for textile mill workers in Mumbai(Maharashtra).Pav bhaji was later served at restaurants throughout the city. Pav bhaji is now offered at outlets from simple hand carts to formal restaurants in India and abroad.
