Sweet & Sour Crispy Tofu : Vegan Airfryer Recipe
Today we are making Sweet and Sour Crispy Tofu, this is a very quick and simple recipe and one of my Favorite comfort Food
Tofu is seasoned and air fried first followed by cooking it in the sweet and sour Sauce!!!

Ingredients
Tofu - 500 Grams
Seasoning for tofu
Salt- 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 Tsp
Garlic Powder - 1 Tsp
For the Sauce
Soy Sauce - 1 Tbsp
Ketchup - 2 Tbsps
Sugar - 1 Tsp
Salt - 1 Tsp
Paprika or red chili powder - 1 Tsp
Water - 3 Tbsps
Oil - 1 Tsp
Onion - 1 Small
Garlic - 4 medium cloves
Sauce
Additional water if required
Air fried Tofu
Chives
Sesame Seeds
Steps
👉🏾Slice the tofu in any preferred shape and size. To season it, add salt, pepper and garlic powder. You can add any fav spices of your choice. Coat it in the seasoning from all the sides
👉🏾Air fry or bake the tofu. I airfried it over 180 C for 10 mins, flipping it mid way
👉🏾Then prepare the sauce, add soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, salt, red chili or paprika, followed by some water and mix well
👉🏾Heat a pan and add oil, then add finely chopped onion, cook till they are golden brown.
👉🏾Then add the garlic and cook over low heat for 2 mins
👉🏾Then add the sauce to the pan and add some more water if you prefer more gravy and let it cook till the oil starts to separate. You can also add cornstarch slurry to make the gravy more thicker but it’s optional
👉🏾Add the cooked tofu, and mix well. Season it with spring onion greens or chives, sesame seeds and serve
You can serve it just like that or with some bread or rice
