The small community of Matlacha Island, tucked between Cape Coral and Pine Island Florida, was once filled with colorful businesses, restaurants, and homes. After the destructive winds of Hurricane Ian, all that remains is debris-filled streets, collapsed bridges, and flooded roads resembling canals. Yet despite all that, some dedicated residents refuse to leave their homes.
