Couple Spreads Powerful Message About Down Syndrome

Children love to surprise their parents, no matter how young they are. A couple from Aurora, Illinois, managed to film the moment—in the delivery room. Baby Micah gave his parents Kati and Abe Martinez a big surprise at birth. "There's a lot of side conversations. There's a lot of medical professionals and we kind of didn't know whose role was what. And then Abe, I think, asked one of the nurses, he was like, Hey, does he look like he has Down syndrome?" Kati recalled. Kati shared their reaction to the moment they found out, in order to raise awareness about Down Syndrome and let people know “it’s okay.” The video went viral.
