Taiwan: WHO Ignores Request to Attend Assembly

Taiwan won't be attending an important World Health Organization meeting later this month. The island says the W.H.O ignored its repeated requests to be allowed to attend as an observer. The rejection stems from W.H.O member China—which has spoken against Taiwan being admitted.
