The main reason supporting this claim is -the great technical complexity. The Follo Line Project includes the construction of a 22 km (13 mi) long double-track high-speed rail line between Oslo Central Station and the new station in the town of Ski, for a speed of 250 kmh (155 mph). It is a continuation of the Norwegian National Rail Administration's (Bane NOR) Intercity plan to build four-track lines along the three main corridors out of Oslo (first, the Gardermoen Line 1998, second, the Asker Line 2011). You might be wondering what kind of megaproject it is that includes the construction of only 22 km of rail tracks... Well, these 22 km cost as much as 2.35 billion dollars. The reason? They include the construction of 20 km (12 mi) of tunnels. But not ordinary tunnels. These tunnels are going through the urban area and will pass under the existing BUSY road tunnels and a river.
