China Bans Communist Party Elites' Overseas Assets

The Chinese Communist Party is barring senior officials from owning property abroad or stakes in overseas entities. The rule applies to assets both directly under their names, as well as those in their spouses' and childrens' names. That’s according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. The report says the foreign assets ban was outlined in a Communist Party internal notice, issued back in March.
