While speaking during an event at Union Station in Washington, DC on Tuesday, President Joe Biden vowed to attendees the federal government would restore the recently-expired expanded COVID-era child care credit in his next budget proposal. The 2021 pandemic child tax credit amounted to up to $3,600 per child under age 6 and $3,000 per child ages 6 to 17.
