The Italian pianist Francesco Tropea (Cosenza - 1994) is taking in November 2021 his Master of Arts at Universität Mozarteum of Salzburg with Rolf Plagge. He attended the “Light Course” with Benedetto Lupo at Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo - Turin and, at Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana of Lugano, he also successfully took the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Concert Improvisation, with Galina Vracheva. Besides taking part in prestigious masterclasses (International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” of Imola, Haute école de musique de Genève), he is absolute first prize for the European "Città di Filadelfia" (Italy), special mention at Young Euregio Piano Award (Germany), winner of "G. Valori" Scholarship. He performed at Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Niccolini in Florence, Mozarteum of Salzburg, Hochschule für Musik und Theater “F. Mendelssohn Bartoldy” in Leipzig, EXPO Milan 2015. He is also very active in concert Improvisation.
